Our journal has been published since 1951. From 1962 its Editor-in-Chief was Prof. dr hab. n. med. Eugeniusz Miętkiewski, and from 2000-2019 by Prof. dr hab. n. med. Ireneusz Kojder. Currently the Editor-in-Chief is prof. dr hab. n. med. Dariusz Chlubek.
Before 2015 it was published once a year, and now the Pomeranian Journal of Life Sciences is a quarterly, and is gradually being transformed from the traditional paper format into an electronic journal. However, the editorial office is still publishing the Pomeranian Journal of Life Sciences in a paper format, maintaining a small circulation for promotional purposes.
